The National Service of Quality and Plant Health and Seeds (Senave) of Paraguay will void the effect the Resolution 725/15, which created the system of control of agrochemicals with the use of coded tags. The announced was made by the Minister of Agriculture of Paraguay, Jorge Gattini, when agronomist Alfredo Gryciuk took office as president of the agency.
Gryciuk argued that the cancellation process was due to the fact that the implementation of the resolution was not justified in terms of cost-benefit. In his speech, he also promised to push for clear policies that would allow a fast and transparent work, coordinating the rules and actions with the Ministry of Agriculture and the private sector.
The new president will prioritize technical aspects over the juridical and administrative aspects, strengthening the laboratories and the incorporation of technological tools for facilitating the management of users.
"We will work together with the productive sector. We are not the enemy and never will be, we are working partners,” said Gryciuk, probably in allusion to a crisis that Senave faced due to union protests related to the resolution.
