EC publishes Q&A document to elaborate agrochem registration rules

The European Commission has published document gathers questions and agreed answers regarding the interpretation of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market and repealing Council Directives 79/117/EEC and 91/414/EEC. This document is aimed at providing guidance to both Member States and economic operators and it will be complemented by other questions and answers, if and when the implementation of this Regulation will raise further interpretative problems.
These answers represent the position of the Commission services but may not necessarily represent the opinion of the Commission. This guidance document does not constitute any formal commitment on behalf of the Commission. Only the European Court of Justice can give an authoritative interpretation of EU law.
