The Clean Field System (reverse logistics of empty packages) has recycled environmentally correctly 36,925 tons of empty packages of agrochemicals in Brazil from January to September. The number indicates a growth of 6% compared to the same period of 2014.

The states of Rio de Janeiro (102%), Sergipe (98%), and Mato Grosso do Sul (26%) obtained a greater percentage growth by quantities, according to an analysis of the National Institute for Processing Empty Packages (InPev). The bigger quantities left from Mato Grosso, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, Bahia, and Mato Grosso do Sul – which combined correspond to 73% of the total.

Since the start of the operation of the Clean Field System in 2002, more than 360,000 tons of the material were sent to recycling well. João César M. Rando, president of inpEV, highlights the efficiency of the program. “In a country as big as Brazil, it is a challenge to do the management of solid waste. We have achieved to perform the management with excellence and today we are a world reference in the area”.
