China’s pesticide production went down 0.6% in Oct. 2015

According to National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), China’s pesticide production registered 303,470 tons in Oct, down regulated 0.6% comparing to the same month last year. From Jan to Oct, China produced total 3,037,563 tons of pesticide, up 2.9% comparing to the same period last year.

The production of three major categories of chemical pesticide continues to go down in Oct. Herbicide production in this month was 145,433 tons, decreased 1.9% on a y-o-y basis, making up the most of 48% to the total chemical pesticide production. Insecticide production went down significantly with 14.9% to 37,536 tons, accounting for the 12% of total production. Fungicide production also cut down significantly by 10.7% to 13,944 tons, accounting for 5% of total production.

From Jan to Oct, China produced 1,451,186 tons of herbicide, slightly decreased 0.9% comparing to the same period last year. Insecticide production down regulated 4.4% to 425,286 tons. Fungicide also went down 7.3% to 149,617 tons.
