Quimetal Chile launches Copper fungicides in China

Quimetal began to plot for China market in 2012 and has acquired the first Chinese registration of Bordeaux mixture 86% DF with the registration certificate No. LS20150153 and Chinese brand name “ZhiDuoShou DF” through partner cooperation with Ningbo Sunjoy Cropscience Co., Ltd. (former Sinochem Ningbo), focusing on grape downy mildew, apple ring spot, citrus canker and pepper anthrax.

Relying on the registration ability and marketing strength of Ningbo Sunjoy, Quimetal will continue to introduce Sulfur 80% DF, Copper Oxychloride 84% DF and Copper Hydroxide 77% DF into China market in the near future to better serve the development of Chinese agriculture. 

With the success of “ZhiDuoShou DF” Quimetal Industrial S.A. of Santiago Chile becomes the first agrochemical producer entering China market from South America .

Bordeaux mixture had been known as an efficient fungicide against grape downy mildew in agricultural crop protection field Since 1882 when a French scientist P. Millardet in Bordeaux city discovered the sterilizing effect of Copper Sulfate mixed with limewater. Along with the development of agrochemical industry Copper Oxychloride, Cuprous Oxide, Copper Hydroxide and other Inorganic Copper Fungicides had been gradually used in agricultural production.

Until now Inorganic Copper Fungicides still play a decisive role in controlling bacteria diseases whether evaluated in efficacy or market shares.
