Nufarm promotes paddy rice herbicide Agritox in China

Agritox is a representational core product of Nufarm, its active ingredient being MPCA, which is of good herbicidal effect and has not yet developed any resistance after put in use for many years. Compared with other MPCA products in China, Agritox is of high purity, supported by dedicated adjuvant, requires fewer amounts and provides better effect and safety.
Agritox not only has good herbicidal effect but also enhances growth of paddy rice. MPCA is a phenoxy carboxylic acid herbicide, for which monocotyledon detoxicates, but not by dicotyledon, therefore broad leaf and sedge weed in monocotyledon crop field can be controlled. In the meantime it is a hormone herbicide, for which although graminaceous crop detoxicates, but needs to undergo a metabolized and degraded process. After being applied, Agritox has a higher concentration, the top and root of graminaceous crop is inhibited to certain degree, which causes dwarfing and broken root, thereafter concentration becomes low, which then enhances the growth of root and stalk.
