New Zealand to approve import of herbicide Cadet

NewZealandThe New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises a hearing is scheduled for an application to import the herbicide Cadet, for use to control broadleaf weed in maize.
ETEC Crop Solutions Limited has applied to import Cadet, which contains the active ingredient fluthiacet-methyl (at a concentration of 100g/L). This application was publicly notified because fluthiacet-methyl is a new active ingredient to New Zealand.
The application was open for public submissions, which closed on 13 November 2014.
