AgriThority® LLC, an integrated agricultural science consultancy providing product and field development services, as well as market access services to the crop protection, seed, seed treatment, plant nutrition and precision agriculture sectors globally, has added Stefan van der Heijden as Account Manager - Europe to oversee the company's growing presence in the region.
In his role as Account Manager, van der Heijden will be responsible for business management and development for AgriThority clients, including start-up technology companies through multinationals. He will manage product and field development services, business development services and valuable insight to clients in Europe, as well as product and business development programs for European companies globally.
Over the course of his career, van der Heijden has led research programs in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, South America, China and North America.

In previous positions, van der Heijden has been responsible for strategic planning, licensing, managing joint ventures, initiation of public-private partnerships and research.
In addition to plant-based agriculture, van der Heijden has a highly successful track record in the livestock industry; building and managing long term, successful breeding programs using innovative tools and proven practices.
In the crop sector, van der Heijden has built technology packages based on genetics, seed enhancement, biologic plant growth enhancers and biopesticides. His work encompasses a broad range of crops including forages, cereals, maize, vegetables and a range of specialty and minor crops. He is well versed in biotechnology, GM and non-GM technologies, including gene editing and genomic selection.
