The Stockton Group has obtained from the Colombian Agricultural Institute – ICA – this September, the right to extend the use of its product Timorex Gold for the control leaf spot (Cercospora Nicotianae – Alternaria sp) in tobacco cultivation.

As a preventive and curative biological product of foliage diseases, Timorex Gold is considered a valuable contribution to tobacco producers. Using Timorex Gold in the cultivation of tobacco will allow tobacco growers to obtain a harvest of healthier and better quality leaves, making make them more competitive on the market.

“Timorex Gold has proven its effectiveness and benefits to important crops in Colombia today where it is registered, and where it is marketed for rice, Solanaceae, roses, onion, corn, coffee, and banana cultivations. Now, with this new approval, new opportunities for the farmer continue to open with the addition of this new fungicide to their portfolio of solutions for integrated pest management (IPM) in tobacco in a sustainable manner,” told us Jose Antonio Estevez, Stockton Group Manager in Colombia. “In Colombia, we get stronger every day as far as major crops are concerned, and initiate the development of other innovative tools we hope to have available on the market next year.”

Timorex Gold leaves no residue in the soil, water, or air. It has been demonstrated as being safe to the environment in numerous studies carried out by major international laboratories.
