Terramera appoints Mark Bidwell as an independent director

The Board of Directors of Terramera, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Mark Bidwell as an independent director of the firm, effective earlier this month.

For 10 years, Mr. Bidwell held leadership positions at Syngenta, eventually becoming Global Head of Specialty Crops where he led the creation and development of a $2bn business unit.

“Mark has a proven record of innovative, dynamic and successful business leadership, and his deep global knowledge of the crop protection industry will add valuable perspective to our Board of Directors,” said Alex Lau, Executive Chair. 

“Mark has been a successful and entrepreneurial leader at the world’s largest agrochemical inputs company, and we are excited to have him join us as a director,” said Karn Manhas, President and Founder. “Terramera will benefit tremendously from his insight and judgment on markets and strategy.”

Mr. Bidwell is currently CEO of nowhere digital and Chairman of BC Platforms, a Bioinformatics software company. He holds a degree in Social Anthropology and International Relations from St Andrews University in Scotland, and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Freeman of the City of London.
