ADAMA has recently announced the commercial launch of herbicide Arreio® Pasto ( fluroxypyr+picloram) in the Brazilian market. The product is aimed to control weeds on pasture, especially on species difficult to control such as Mexican Fireplant (
Euphorbia heterophylla L.), the Dutch Eggplant (
Solanum aculeatissimum), Brazilian orchid treet (
Bauhinia forficata Link) and the arrowleaf sida (
Sida rhombifolia).
Arreio® Pasto is a selective and systemic herbicide, recommended for the control of weeds in broadleaf, herbaceous, shrub and semi-shrub in rangelands of forage grasses.
"The options currently available in the market no longer correspond to the expectation of ranchers to control weeds on pasture. Facing this difficulty, we have developed a set of products, especially Arreio® Pasto, that act in a determining way to increase final productivity and quality in the field. Arreio® Pasto has already been on sale through several distributors in Brazil," explains Yvan Lopes, manager of Pasture Portfolio of ADAMA.
Accoridng to the company, Arreio® Pasto will be introduced in a series of events in partnership with Scot consultancy in the states of Mato Grosso, Pará, and Goiás, respectively.
Besides receiving consultancy experts and knowing the benefits of the product, the ranchers will have the opportunity to learn more on the advantages of doing ADAMA's Integrated Pasture Management System formed by selective herbicides of systemic action such as Arreio® Pasto, Galop M®, Silverado®, and Dorado®, the latter recently integrated to the company's portfolio for cattle.
