Australia to approve AgNova’s insecticide dinotefuran

AustraliaThe Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed to approve insecticide Starkle 200 SG (dinotefuran) from AgNova Technologies Pty Ltd for use to control silverleaf whitefly and green mirid in cotton. The APVMA also proposed to approve dinotefuran as a new active ingredient for use in end-user products as a systemic insecticide for controlling a range of sucking insects on plants, and for controlling external parasites on dogs.
Public comment will open from 25 August to 23 September 2015.
