Nigeria firm Candel to commence export of agrochemical product

NigeriaCandel Company Limited has concluded plans to commence the export of agrochemical products made in Nigeria from its integrated manufacturing facility located at the Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, Nigeria. This manufacturing facility was launched in May this year, taking on the manufacture of crop protection chemical and foliar fertilizers.
The Chairman, Candel Group, Mr. Charles Anudu disclosed this during a statutory plant inspection and assessment of the Candel FZE Plant by the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana as part of the requirements by the regulatory body to ensure compliance with global environmental and quality standards.
According to Charles, “Nigeria expends about $400 million annually to import agrochemical products, a lot of which is of unwholesome quality. Farmers in Nigeria will benefit from the launch of this manufacturing plant, saving millions of dollars in foreign exchange and produce healthier seeds and high quality farm produce.”
