Evonik has teamed with Hargrove Engineers + Constructors on a $100 million expansion to Evonik's Theodore chemical plant.
The new production facility for Evonik's new agrochemical intermediate will be completed by the late summer of 2016, a release from Hargrove Engineers said.
The expansion will include a new common facility building for the production units, process plant infrastructure, off-gas waste water collection tank farm, raw materials and product tank farm, loading/unloading stations, plant-specific utility systems and environmental treatment systems.
The project broke ground last week after multiple planning sessions took place between Hargrove and Evonik, and the first deliveries of equipment and materials should arrive later this month into early August.
