Bayer CropScience announced that it has got Italy’s exceptional use approvals for its fungicide products, Prosaro and Proline Star for the control of Fusarium head blight on corn and herbicide product, Challenge (aclonifen) for used on onion.
Prosaro / Proline Star, both contain prothioconazole and tebuconazole as the active ingredients, are the only product to be effective against Fusarium head blight, according to Bayer. They can be applied at the end of flowering, the recommend dose of Prosaro / Proline Star for Fusarium control on corn is 1L/ha.
Last season in different distribution areas, prices of autumn onion has achieved positive results and is expected to maintain the same price for the coming season. So, it is important to protec fields and production to get good income, therefore, weeding is the first step in the virtuous path of every farmer to ensure quantity and quality. Bayer believes that farmers will benefit from temporary authorization of Challenge.
The approvals will be valid for 120 days from 24 June to 22 October 2015.
