US EPA extends comment period on bee proposal

US EPA is hosting a public webinar that will provide background information and additional details about its proposed plan to prohibit the use of all highly toxic pesticides when crops are in bloom and bees are present under contract for pollination services. The plan also recommends that states and tribes develop pollinator protections plans and best management practices.
EPA will also be extending the comment period on the proposal an additional 30 days, ending July 29.
