China’s glyphosate export volume up by 9% m-o-m in Feb. 2015

According to the data released by the Chinese General Administration of Customs, China totally exported 68,927 tonnes of glyphosate in Feb. 2015, increasing by 8.7% month on month. The value of those products reached $182.7 million, down by 2.7% month on month.
 
In Feb. 2015, China’s export volume and value of glyphosate technical were 24,113 tonnes and $ 92.3 million, which slipped by 8.0% and 13.2% month on month respectively. Those of glyphosate formulations were 44,814 tonnes and $90.5 million, which rose by 20.4% and 11.1% month on month respectively. The exported formulations included 15 ones like 41% IPA, 51% IPA and 62% IPA.

 
As for the export price, it was still decreasing in Feb. For example, the average export price of 95% glyphosate technical was $3.83/kg, lower than $3.85/kg in Jan.; that of glyphosate 41% IPA was $1.82/kg, lower than $1.99/kg in Jan.
 
There were 171 enterprises exporting glyphosate from China, 21 more than that in Jan. The top ones included Sichuan Leshan Fuhua Agricultural Science Group, Shandong Weifang Rainbow Chemical Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Wynca Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Good Harvest-Weien Agrochemical Co., Ltd. and Youth Chemical Co., Ltd.

 
In Feb. 2015, China exported glyphosate to 99 countries and regions, 6 more than that in Jan. The main export destinations of the product included Australia, Nigeria, Argentina, the US and Thailand. Calculated by export volume, the top ten countries or regions imported 42,950 tonnes of glyphosate from China, which totaled at $118.6 million, accounting for 62.3% and 64.9% of the total glyphosate export volume and value respectively in Feb.
