India agrochemical company Dhanuka Agritech Limited in its net turnover registered a moderate growth of 6.32% at Rs.785.08 crores for the FY15 ended 31st March, 2015 as against Rs.738.41 crores for last year. The PAT (Profit After Tax) recorded an increase of 13.95 % to Rs.106.13 crores for FY15 compared to Rs.93.14 crores for previous fiscal.
Commenting on the annual results, Mr. R.G.Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Limited said, “Inspite of deficient rainfall, we have seen moderate growth in this fiscal. Our key products continue to add to the top line. We are well positioned to pursue our strong growth potential and are excited about introducing new products.”
He further added, “We feel Indian agriculture and the Indian farmer has a bright future ahead. The consumption of crop protection chemicals is growing at a fast pace in India too, with increasing farm-incomes and awareness amongst farmers. The Government is also taking steps to increase irrigated cultivable area and more crop per drop.”
The Company in net turnover declined by 1.10% to Rs.150.22 crores for the quarter ended 31st March, 2015 compared to Rs.151.88 crores for the same period last year, and PAT decreased by 2.31% to Rs.21.95 crores in this quarter as against Rs.22.46 crores for the corresponding period last year.
The Company has recently introduced SEMPRA, a powerful Herbicide for Sugarcane crop, for the first time in India. Dhanuka has created a new category in Indian agchem Industry by providing safe and effective control of very obnoxious weeds and helping the troubled farmer to increase his Sugar-cane yield by 7-12%.
Dhanuka will be delivering value and technology to farmers by distributing DuPont’s Rynaxypyr liquid and Rynaxypyr granules under Brand name ‘Cover’. Dhanuka will be distributing this strong insecticide across the country through it’s 8,500 strong channel network.
Dhanuka has over 1,500 trained Dhanuka Doctors working as free consultants to farmers, who disseminate knowledge to increase yield per hectare and bring world class technology to Indian farmlands.
