AgroPages-EU approval for calcium hydroxide fungicide-Agricultural news

The European Commission has approved calcium hydroxide as a “basic substance” under the EU plant protection products registration Regulation (1107/2009). The approval is effective from July 1st 2015, and has no expiry date. In September 2012, EU received an application for calcium hydroxide use as a fungicide on pome fruit from the European Group of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM).
