Agricultural products play an important role for the Moroccan export market and this country is making huge investments in this field. Morocco is focusing on small farmers and investing in technology and research for more efficient cereal production techniques through the “Plan Maroc Vert” which was initiated by the central government in 2008. One of these techniques is “direct seeding” which is also known as “conservation agriculture” or “no tillage.”
For many years, Koppert Morocco has played a leading role in developing IPM in protected crops in many parts of Morocco. As pioneers of sustainable systems solutions, Koppert feels it is time to introduce growers to products that will benefit open field crops too in the region. Positive results both in Morocco and other parts of the world have shown distinct increases in yields and quality levels while preserving the environment and contributing to the ‘Climate-Smart Agriculture’. The company will present its range of innovative products at the SIAM International Agricultural Fair in Meknes, Morocco, from 28 April to 3 May.
Koppert consultants will be on hand to inform growers and other interested parties about its research and developments in the area, new innovative products for various row crops such as wheat, corn, sugar cane, and many others that gives crops the best possible start. Among others they will introduce a complete system which starts with the soil and optimizes plant health. Reason enough for our presence at the 10th edition of SIAM!
Koppert Biological Systems now has 22 subsidiaries and is active in more than 100 countries worldwide. It has brought its range of soil, seed and plant treatments closer to the growers and optimized its distribution and consultancy services around the world. Its new mission statement, ‘Partners with Nature’ further strengthens its commitment to making agriculture healthier, safer and more productive by providing an integrated system of specialist cultivation knowledge and natural, safe solutions that increase crop health, resilience and production.
Koppert consultants at the Holland Pavilion will be happy to introduce you to our biological systems solutions and bring you up to date on both established and innovative new products. If you are involved in the cultivation of soft fruit, outdoor or protected crops and looking for biocontrol advice, the Koppert stand is well worth a visit.
