BASF introduced at Expodireto Cotrijal, a major farm show in southern Brazil, the "AgCelence Soybean System", an exclusive, integrated, and sequential management model to control plagues and diseases. According to the German multinational, the system promotes a productivity increase of up to 10% or three more bags per hectare.
"With the recently-launch fungicide Orkestra™SC, the model gains even more efficiency. The product's 'shield effect' protects the soybean plant for more time from important diseases and it increases the productivity by the combined action of two active ingredients: the fluxapyroxad, a carboxamide approved for use in the cultivation of soybeans in Brazil in the end of 2013, and F500 molecule, which presents proven effects of physiological efficiency on the plant's organic functions," affirms Elias Guidini, marketing manager at the Basf's Crop Protection Unit.
The other two products that form the management model "AgCelence Soybeans" are Standak® Top and Opera®. The first uses double action (fungicide and insecticide) to protect the seeds and leave it with determing characteristics, so that the initial development puts direct consequences on the seedlings final quality, contributing to guarantee strength and rooting. The second combats the top crop diseases.
