Italian agrochemical company Sipcam (Milan) and Japanese agrochemical company Nihon Nohyaku (Tokyo) have formed a strategic alliance for development, marketing, distributing and formulation of agrochemicals in Brazil by forming a 50-50 joint venture. Nihon Nohyaku acquired 50% stake from Sipcam in early September and Sipcam Agro approved the change of the name into Sipcam Nichino Brasil S.A. at the sahreholders meeing held in mid September.
The allicance between Sipcam and Nihon Nohyaku defenitely provides Sipcam Nichino Brasil with “subsstantial synergy”. The collaboration creates an integration of market know-how, strong sales force and formulation capability fostered over 35 years’ operation by Sipcam with research and development expertise by Nihon Nohyaku who has been focusing on the development of innovative proprietary products. Through the joint operation of Sipcam Nichino Brasil, Sipcam and Nihon Nohyaku would like to contribute to agriculture in Brazil more than ever.
