The Institute of Crop Protection of Mato Grosso, the top soybean producing state in Brazil, established norms for farmers who request the grant for the use of products containing emamectin benzoate. This substance has an emergency use released to combat the corn earworm (Helicoverpa armigera), according to Normative Instruction No. 008/2015.
The legislation, published at the Official Gazette of Mato Grosso, establishes guidelines for storage, stock control and transport of the products. Importer or distributor will be responsible for the logistics of delivery to the final consumer of emamectin benzoate.
The "reverse logistics" of leftover deliveries and packages will be a responsibility of the receiving units, who will have to report about returned items. At the phytosanitary emergency deadline, farmers that had acquired emamectin benzoate should prove within 15 days that the local importer was informed to collect possible leftovers and residue.
