California growers may now use Cercobin fungicide to control a broad spectrum of diseases affecting their crops, announced by Cheminova, Inc. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation recently approved registration of Cercobin, a new formulation of thiophanate-methyl.
Cercobin provides preventative and curative disease control. It is a Group 1 fungicide and can be used alone, as a rotational partner or tank-mixed with other fungicides depending on the crop. Cercobin controls white mold in dry and edible beans; Cercospora on sugar beets; scab and sooty blotch on apples; brown rot on stone fruit; and botrytis and powdery mildew on labeled crops.
