EU approved Nippon Kayaku’s insecticide chromafenozideqrcode

The European Union has approved the registration of inseciticde chromafenozide, for use on apples to control tortrix moth, leafminer and codling moth. Arysta LifeScience, on behalf of Nippon Kayaku, submitted this registration to Hungary in 2004. EU noted that the applicant should submit confirmatory information regards the non-significance of the difference between the material used for ecotoxicological testing and the agreed specification of the technical by September 2015, as well as the assessment of the risk to sediment dwelling organisms, and the leaching potential of metabolites by March 2017. The expiration of approval is until March 31st 2025. 
 
Nippon Kayaku introduced chromafenozide as Matric in Japan and Thailand in 2000 for use against lepidopteran pests, particularly on rice against borer, leafroller, skipper and green caterpillar. Registrations were also obtained in countries such as Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil.
