One of the very common problems during the application of agrochemicals is the cation exchange capacity of the solution, especially in the use of glyphosate. Some cation can null the action of glyphosate. In order to fight this problem, Arysta has announced K-tionic in Argentina, an organic amendment that speeds up the absorption and the translocation of agrochemicals within the plant and inactivates the action of cations that bring bad consequences for crop nutrition. According to Arysta, K-tionic is an ideal replacement for ammonium sulphate.
The product’s active ingredient is fulvic acids and has high compatibility with herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides that enables a rapid absorption and translocation into the plant, improving glyphosate applications and avoiding temporary chlorosis on crops such as GMO corn and soybeans. The company states that, in the use of herbicides such as glyphosate, the appropriate choice of adjuvant is important in the correct application of the product and provide a high efficiency.
