Syngenta China opens new facilities in Nantong

Syngenta China recently marked an opening ceremony for the new facilities “Formulation Fill & packaging” in Nantong, Jiangsu, China. Nantong site is one of the eight AIs manufacturing sites of Syngenta globally.To meet the needs of global and China market, Syngenta has decided to invest a further $52.4 million to expand the production capacity of Nantong FF&P facilities. With an area of 71 mu (4.8 hectares), the new project has 5 formulation filling lines, 20 packaging lines and in total 34 formulations lines, which is expected to operate in March of 2015. This project was designed and built on world class standard, and become an industry benchmark of best practice and management both in China and globally.
Mr. Mark Peacock, the he global Chief Operating Officer of Syngenta, said “China holds a very important place both globally and in the APAC region for Syngenta. Since 2000, Syngenta has invested more than USD $360 million in China. Syngenta will provide advanced technology, broadest product portfolio and professional services to enhance the cooperation with China government, academic society and partners with mutual benefits, offering integrated crop solutions based on crop protection and seeds to make greater contribution to China agriculture.”
The president of Syngenta China, Mr. Pierre Cohadon said ” The new facility enables Syngenta to better serve Chinese farmers with high quality and effective products, helping them achieve higher yields and income, preserve the environment and help Syngenta to deliver our commitments to the development of sustainable agriculture in China.”
