Based on good market performance, Sipcam was ranked the 20th in AgroPages’ “Top 20 global agrochemical firms” in 2013. The company also performed quite well in China. Recently, Pingtian Geng, General manager of Sipcam China, told AgroPages at the core clients appreciation meeting that Sipcam plans to realize 250 million sales and rank among top 10 multinationals in China’s agchem market in 2015.
Sipcam entered China market in October 2010, and already obtained 24 product registrations by 2014, among which 21 were already launched, including 19 crop protection products, and 2 plant nutrition products. Through a series of basic plant protection promotion activities, its strategic products, fungicides Croptech, Siptar Top, Sipstar Plus and seed nutrition Umostart, obtained good market credits and achieve sales breakthrough of over 100 million.
According to Pingtian Geng, the business model of Sipcam in China is to provide cost-effective populist products. The company push integrated crop solutions through the concept of “integration of pesticides and nutrition”, deepening the influence of products brands, and professional technical support services.
In 2015, Sipcam plans to launch a serial of products, including fungicides Tuli (480g/l chlorothalonil+ tebuconazole) Sipcorn (10% tebuconazole+ metalaxyl+azoxystrobin) nutrition product Depliant (NPK), and herbicide Tekhne (45% metolachlor+atrazine). From 2016 to 2019, the concept of “integration of pesticides and nutrition” will be comprehensive upgraded by launching more products. During that time, the company plans to launch 6 fungicides, 6 herbicides, 4 insecticides, 3 seed treatment products and 1 plant growth regulator, as well as nutrition products such as humic acid fertilizer, amino acid fertilizer, silicon fertilizer, and alginic acid fertilizer. The company also anticipated to set up core client channels oriented by crops types to maximize market coverage.
