New varieties expand the BASF Clearfield Production System for canola

Two new high-performance hybrid varieties are being added to the Clearfield® Production System for canola for the 2015 growing season.
The new hybrids, Pioneer® Hybrid 45H76 and Nexera™ Hybrid 2020 CL, join the existing Clearfield canola line-up. Both offer improved standability, higher yield potential, and like all Clearfield seeds, are non-genetically modified because they are bred through traditional methods.
• Pioneer Hybrid 45H76 with the Clearfield gene offers canola growers improved standability and swathability along with excellent yield potential and strong disease package.
• Nexera Hybrid 2020 CL delivers excellent standability, blackleg and clubroot disease resistance along with Omega-9 oil quality for additional contract premiums.
“These new hybrids demonstrate the strong genetics available as a part of theClearfield Production System for canola,” said Danielle Eastman, ClearfieldBrand Manager at BASF Canada. “The Clearfield Production System delivers flushing weed control with Ares™ herbicide and provides control of tough weeds like wild buckwheat, cleavers and volunteer canola.”
These new hybrids are an example of the BASF commitment to the successful future of Canadian agriculture.
