Excel Crop Care sales up 10% in Q2 2014-2015

Indian agchem company Excel Crop Care's sales rose by 9.73% to Rs 294.89 crore in the second quarter ended September 30th 2014, as against Rs 268.74 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2013. Net profit rose 23.06% to Rs 28.60 crore as against Rs 23.24 crore. For the first half of 2014, sales grey by 18.5% to Rs 619.86 crore as against 523.29 crore year-on-year. Net profit was up to Rs 61.78 crore, with a year-on-year significant increase of 44.1%.
The company noted that production and domestic sales of endosulfan remains suspended since May of 2011. Out of the brought forward provision of Rs 6.91 crore for endosulfan related inventories, an amount of Rs 4.5 crore has been written back during the current fiscal year and the balance of Rs 2.4 crore is being carried forward.
