Nissan agchem sales were 18,531 million yen ($161.7 million at current rate) for the six months ended September 30th, an increase of 2,529 million yen ($22.1 million) or 15.8% from the same term of the previous year. Operating income was 3,954 million yen ($34.5 million), an increase of 1,581 million yen or 66.6%.
With regard to the domestic sales, the sales volume of “ROUNDUP” (non-selective herbicide) and “ALTAIR” (paddy rice herbicide) increased. The export sales significantly increased especially due to the launch of veterinary medical product including Fluralaner in Europe and the United States of America. As the ais of BRAVECTO, Fluralaner has unique immediate and persistent tick and flea killing activity for dogs.
The company forecasts the full year sales to reach 45.3 billion yen ($395.3 million), up 1.4 billion yen from previously forecast. The operating income is expected to 9.1 billion yen ($79.4 million) for the full year.
