Dow AgroSciences has obtained federal registration for herbicide Tricea (pyroxsulam) in Brazil for application in the state of Paraná. As a selective post-emergence for this winter crop, Tricea is already registered in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Tricea is recommended for the control of weed in wheat field that may have a negative effect on productivity. Among the product's differentials are the wide spectrum post-emergence control, acting on both narrow- and wide-leaved weeds, and residual effect in the soil.
Among the main weeds that affect wheat crops - and are controlled by Tricea - are the ryegrass, oats, turnip, and the wild buckwheat. This product will be available by the 2015 winter crop in all distribution network of Paraná.
