BASF/Adama recommend environment friendly use of metazachlor

BASF crop protection and ADAMA have issued recommendations on the use of the herbicide metazachlor in the EU. They recommend no applications from early October to mid-March, During application, the maximum amount is 750 g / ha in 3 years.
In recent years, metazachlor, or its degradation products were found in surface waters and groundwater. In Germany about 90% of the farmers appreciate metazachlor as a key tool for weed control in cabbage and rapeseed. It is effective against prominent rapeseed weeds such as chamomile, chickweed, nettle and speedwell and grasses.
