Arysta’s herbicide Select 240 extends to sourgrass in Brazil

Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply approved an extension of the herbicide Select® 240 EC from Arysta LifeScience to control sourgrass at the pre-planting of soybeans. The sourgrass is a weed native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas and, in Brazil, can be found practically in all regions, especially in the states of Paraná and south of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Among the methods used to control weeds available currently, the chemical control is the most used method. "This way, the farmer will have a new and efficient authorized option available to control this weed guaranteeing the best performance of the crop", highlighted by product and market manager at Arysta LifeScience, Marcus Bonafé.
Select® 240 EC is a highly selective herbicide that has the active ingredient clethodim. It presents results also on combating other weeds resistant to glyphosate and other tough weeds of several crops.
