The US EPA has established a tolerance exemption for US company Northwest Agricultural Products’s bioherbicide (Pseudomonas fluorescens strain D7) in or on all food commodities. This ai is proposed for use in field applications for suppression of downy brome (cheatgrass), medusahead, Japanese brome and jointed goatgrass or fields of turf and grasses grown for seed, alfalfa, wheat, barley and etc. The EPA has proposed this ais approval in August and granted it at the end of the month.
