The crops in the south of Brazil had saw an increase of agrochemical applications, because of the lack of supervision and specialized advisory to combat Helicoverpa armigera, according to Alencar Rugeri, an agronomist at the Rural Institute of Technical Assistance of Rio Grande do Sul (Emater).
