Paraquat Non-AS formulation receives approval in China

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently announced that 20% paraquat GW (water-soluble gel) from Nanjing RedSun Group has received pesticide production certificates.
This marked the first time that paraquat Non-AS (aqueous solution) formulation has obtained production approval since the ban on AS formulation was implemented on July 1, 2014. Registration and production of paraquat AS formulation for export is still permitted, but from July 2016, their domestic sale and use will be banned.
