US EPA opens a public comment on insecticide dicrotophos

US EPA announced the availability of risk assessment draft for the registration of dicrotophos, and opens a public comment period on this draft. The Comments must be received before September 29th 2014.
Dicrotophos is a broad spectrum organophosphate insecticide. The only dicrotophos end-use formulation currently registered is a water-miscible formulation which may be foliarly applied to established cotton plants or used as a tree injection treatment for ornamental and non-food producing trees. It is classified as Restricted Use and may be purchased and used only by certified applicators or persons under their direct supervision.
EPA issued preliminary work plans for dicrotophos’ registration review programme in 2008.
