Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Changqing recently released that the company plans to invest yuan 616 million ($99.3 million at current rate) in 7 pesticide projects related to active ingredients and intermediates production.
These projects are: 3,000 tonnes/year plant for the herbicide s-Metolachlor, 300 tonnes/year facility for the herbicide cyhalofop-butyl, 300 tonnes/year plant for the fungicide epoxiconazole, 1000 tonnes/year facility for the insecticide acetamiprid, 200 tonnes/year plant for the insecticide indoxacarb, 450 tonnes/year plant for the herbicide triasulfuron, and 1000 tonnes/year facility for 2-coumarone ketone intermediates.
The first four projects will be implemented by company’s Nantong-based subsidiary, with a budget of yuan 377.8 million ($60.9 million).
Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical recorded total sales of $252.7 million in 2013, with year-on-year increase of 29%.
