AgroPages-EU to set the purity of methyl nonyl ketone-Agricultural news

The European Commission has proposed to set a minimum purity of active ingredient methyl nonyl ketone at 985g/kg. The planned amendment follows analysis of the confirmatory information submitted by the applicant. Such information had been requested in 2012. Based on the Commission review report in May 2014 received from member states and EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health, EU made this conclusion. As a repellent, methyl nonyl ketone was included in Annex I on September 1st 2009. The amendment shall enter into force after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
