CropLife Latin America appoints Arysta's Flavio Prezzi as new President

The President and CEO of Arysta LifeScience for Latin America, Flavio Prezzi, is the new president of the Executive Council of CropLife Latin America, an organization non-profit integrated by agrochemical companies, including Arysta LifeScience, and a network of 22 associations in 19 Latin American countries. The institution is one of six regional affiliates to CropLife International - Global Federation of Crop Science Industry.

"It is a pleasure to contribute to the continued strengthening of the agrochemical industry in Latin America, fostering commitment to the productivity and sustainability of agriculture from the provision of better seeds, biotechnology and agrochemical products, purposes of CroLife Latin America," says Flavio Prezzi.

"As the very definition of CropLife Latin America says, the participating organization that industries comply with all standards of the International Code of Conduct on the Distribution and use of agrochemicals FAO, beyond the strict parameters of ethics and social responsibility in areas such as quality, respect for the environment and public health, "adds Prezzi.

Among its priorities, the CropLife Latin America - in Brazil whose extensions are the Council for Biotechnology Information (CIB) and the AgroBio Brasil - promotes and supports the laws that govern scientific criteria with agrochemicals; supports and advocates the equitable protection of log data and respect for intellectual property; encourages the participation of farmers, distributors and authorities responsible for management of agrochemicals; communicates the value provided by the industry to agriculture; promotes the constructive, open and transparent dialogue with society.; and promotes biotechnology and supports the adoption of appropriate standards to regulate it.
