India CIBRC 348th meeting approved 17 pesticide technical registrations

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has approved the registrations of 17 pesticide technicals at the meeting of the Registration Committee on May, 27, 2014, including 7 herbicides, 6 insecticides, 3 fungicides and 1 acaricide.
For registration type, 7 products are the 9 (3) registrations (3 for export purpose), the other 10 products registrations belong to the 9 (4) - "Me-Too” registration.
HPM has received the most registrations with 3 products, followed by Meghmani Industrie, Crystal Crop Protection, Makhteshim-Agan India and R3 Crop Care, for 2 product registrations.

9(3) registrations: This guideline is for registering a new pesticide (technical grade or formulation) or registering a new import source of technical grade pesticide or first time indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide or formulation. This is a permanent registration and does not require any renewal.
9(4) registrations: This is Me-too registration for indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide and formulations and import of pesticides from already registered source.
