SGS has recently expanded its field trial capabilities in Poland, adding three new field trial stations, in Zamarte, Cebulki, Święcice, to its network.
Prepared and launched in good time for the new season, these new locations enable SGS to offer GLP and GEP field trials across a range of climates and geographical regions to best meet client needs. For the autumn season, further capacity can be provided to their clients.
Poland belongs to the EU central registration zone and the EPPO maritime climate zone. Its climate can be very diverse, from the northeast, which shares the climate of the Baltic States, to more moderate temperatures in the central region and warmer drier conditions in the south. This diversity impacts farming as well as the crops sown and harvested.
As one of Europe’s most productive agricultural countries, it is important that Poland provides sufficient agronomical solutions to farmers, including seeds and new pesticides. SGS’s trial services include the GEP and GLP trials required for new product registration. With increased coverage in Poland the company can provide a better service through the distribution of trials, especially into regions vulnerable for leaching, disease and pests, with coverage for all major crops.
Farmers are also increasingly using field trials to obtain an independent data set.
With an extensive network of field stations and a team of local experts and field technicians, SGS can provide GEP and GLP field trials for all the major crops grown in Poland.
