India CIBRC 346th meeting approved 22 pesticide technical registrations

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has approved the registrations of 22 pesticide technicals at the meeting of the Registration Committee on Mar. 18, 2014, including 9 insecticides, 8 fungicides, 4 herbicides and 1 Acaricides. For registration type, 6 products are the 9 (3) registrations (3 for export purpose), the other 16 products registrations belong to the 9 (4) - "Me-Too” registration.
Bharat Rasayan has received the most product registrations including three fungicides and 1 insecticide, followed by PI Industries and Makhteshim Agan India, receiving 2 products registrations respectively.

9(3) registrations: This guideline is for registering a new pesticide (technical grade or formulation) or registering a new import source of technical grade pesticide or first time indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide or formulation. This is a permanent registration and does not require any renewal.
9(4) registrations: This is Me-too registration for indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide and formulations and import of pesticides from already registered source.
