Syngenta to export bean seeds to India

The company hopes to export around 10 tonnes of seed worth Tk 31 lakh this year and plans to export hybrid okra and tomato seeds next year.
Export of the seeds proves that it is possible to produce high-quality seeds in Bangladesh, said Anwar Faruque, additional secretary and director general (seed) of the agriculture ministry.
The seeds developed by Syngenta give an additional advantage over India's native seeds as the long beans grown from this seed are consistent in their colour and size, he said.
