Dow AgroSciences highlighted the POWERCORE technology in the Alpha Demonstrative Field that took place from 25 to 27 February in Northern Planalto, Brazil, the first event about corn with five genes approved in Brazil against the main pests and weeds of this crop.
Innovative technology for the control of the main pests of corn, POWERCORE ™ was launched in 2012 with a development period of about eight years. It provides an increase in productivity of corn crops between 5% and 10%, depending on the technological level of the crop and weather conditions.
During the event, visitors were able to see the whole portfolio of hybrids of the brand (Dow AgroScience) With the new technology already incorporated as well as the benefits of industrial seed treatment with insecticides and fungicides. For Aldenir Sgarbossa, marketing leader for corn seed division at Dow AgroSciences, this is an important moment both for the company and for the rural producer. "The South of the country is very representative and strategic for the company and an event like the Alpha Demonstrative Field, brings the farmer close to the solutions and demands of their region."
With the performance favorably reviewed in the tests, the main novelties in the portfolio of hybrids of the brand are the 2A620PW and 2B610. Other hybrids were also presented at the ADF (Alfa Demonstrative Field) as 2A106Hr, 2A550PW, 2B587PW and those highlights for silage 2B688PW and 2B433PW, combining versatility with quality of silage.
In agrochemicals, Dow AgroSciences highlights the herbicides Dispara, Truper and Padron for the control of invasive plants of long leaves and weeds, and in fodder highlights Convert HD364 a grass adapted to tropical soils acidity and well drained, guaranteeing quality and productivity for the production of meat and milk.
