BASF and the Campinal Statal University (Unicamp), represented by Unicamp Innovation Agency (Inova), have recently signed a technical cooperation agreement to establish cooperation projects until 2019.
The partnership has a greater focus on developing technologies for the agricultural segment on crops of soybeans, sugarcane, corn, fruits and vegetables. The purpose is to implement projects that meet market demands identified by BASF and common interests of the research institution, always prioritizing sustainable solutions.
According to Professor João Marcos Travassos Romano, Director of partnerships and cooperation projects of Inova, the agreement will bring mutual benefits. "BASF is an innovative company and this philosophy is consistent with the objectives of the Inova to strengthen the activities of research, development and innovation between universities and the private sector," adds Romano.
"For BASF, the cooperation agreement with Unicamp will promote further use of innovative technologies to enhance the research in our country," says Danelle Geroni Junior, Director of innovation, research and development unit of BASF's crop protection for Latin America. "In addition, the company confirms its commitment in the quest for solutions that contribute to a more productive and sustainable agriculture ", complements Geroni.
