DuPont Agricultural Products Brazil recently presented its line of pesticides for soybeans and maize crops in the 2014 edition of Showtec. These products include Aproach® Prima fungicide; Premio® and Lannate® insecticides, and Accent® and Classic® herbicides.

Aproach® Prima is a high-performance input in preventing rust and its use contributes to reach the maximum yield potential of soybean seeds. This fungicide also expanded representatively participation in the maize market, for its effective action in the prevention of diseases affecting the aerial part of the plant, especially rust and gray leaf spot of maize.

Equally used in maize and soybean crops, insecticide Premio® focuses more a technological gap that DuPont intends to strengthen at the Showtec MS Foundation. To be used in low doses, the product has low impact on the environment when followed the instructions, besides the low toxicity to mammals, fish and birds.

"Premio® is highly effective in preventing caterpillars, even the most difficult to control, as well as being selective to natural enemies of pests it controls, making it ideal in Integrated Pest Handling (IPH) programs," said Thomas Scott, DuPont’s Insecticides Manager.

The technology of Accent®, Classic® and Lannate® products complement DuPont’s technical program at Showtec.

Accent® is the only post-emergent herbicide nicosulfuron-based with exclusive NicoDry® technology - dispersible granule formulation in water, for maize crops. Classic® is among the most known herbicides to control broad leaves in traditional or transgenic soybeans crops–it is still used for the drying of soybeans. Lannate® insecticide has been marketed for more than 30 years in Brazil and it assists in the development of corn and soybean free from pest attacks, especially caterpillars. The insecticide contributes to the Integrated Pest Handling  and it provides favorable results since pre-planting.
