The statistics of Chinese agricultural administration authorities show that China’s agricultural mechanization reached 59% in 2013 in respect of cultivation, breeding and harvesting. Over the last several years, China’s agricultural mechanization has been growing by annually 1-2%, indicating that the mechanization process may significantly supplant rural labor force in the years ahead.

According to an official of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, the progressing of agricultural mechanization has enhanced the agricultural productivity while reducing labor intensity, thus has apparently raised the whole agricultural production efficiency. China’s fast wheat growth over the last 10 years is primarily attributable to the highest mechanization level of cultivation of wheat among all crops.

There will still be a large market in China for farming machineries in the future, as at present supply of high power&big capacity machinery mainly relies on import. Additionally in the small land or terrace areas other than in the flatland of East China and North China, there is a lack of supply of small maneuverable machinery with flexible mobility.

On the other hand, agriculture is developing toward more divisions of business. Besides the farmland-use machinery, there is a huge market for breeding machinery, fruit machinery, forestation machinery, fishery machinery, livestock machinery and processing machinery. Therefore, it is important to launch marketable machinery which is adapted to the market.
