DuPont Crop Protection announced recently that the DuPont Soybean Head Start Program is open for business. From now until March 14, 2014, growers in Ontario and Quebec will save between $2 per acre and $5 per acre instantly on five DuPont soybean herbicides.
The five products - Classic, Canopy PRO, Freestyle, Guardian and Guardian Plus - are all part of the Classic family of products), which provide residual control on a broad spectrum of weeds.
As Dave Kloppenburg explains, the new DuPont Soybean Head Start Program goes beyond the Guardian Early Purchase Program that ran from 2009 to 2012.
"In 2013, we expanded our Classic based soybean herbicide portfolio by launching Canopy PRO and Freestyle herbicides," says Kloppenburg, Row Crop Segment Manager with DuPont Crop Protection.
"Instead of saving just on Guardian brand herbicides, growers can now save on all five products. This is an all-star weed control lineup at a great price."
The DuPont Soybean Head Start Program offers growers at-the-counter savings in two stages. Until February 7, 2014, the instant discount is $3 per acre for Classic, $4 per acre for Canopy PRO, Freestyle and Guardian and $5 per acre for Guardian Plus.
From February 8, 2014 until March 14, 2014, savings are $2 per acre for Classic, $3 per acre for Canopy PRO, Freestyle and Guardian and $4 per acre for Guardian Plus.
Kloppenburg notes two other improvements that make the Soybean Head Start Program a step up from the previous program: the discount is not tied to the size of purchase required and growers have more time to take advantage of the instant savings.
"Before, the program provided bigger savings for larger-acre growers," says Kloppenburg. "Head Start makes the savings accessible to everyone and the final purchase deadline has been extended by one month to March 14, 2014.
The DuPont Soybean Head Start Program is another way DuPont is working hard to do more for our customers."
